Winter produce is some of our favorite and there’s a good variety of things to choose from in February. I was inspired to post this week because we found ourselves with a pretty good haul of broccoli, beets and cabbage from our Pepper & Salt Kitchen gardens. We made an amazing sesame ginger broccoli bacon salad with toasted sesame seeds and dried apricots. AND with our purple cabbage, we made a colorful slaw.  I’ll be sharing both recipes this coming week. Soups, roasted or grilled vegetable salads, fresh crunchy salads, vegetable hash or creamy whipped vegetables with chopped herbs & butter ~ are all so good and comforting this time of year, Get to the markets and get creative!
