Typically this time of year we wrap up soup season and focus our energy on growing food for the upcoming year. We have most of our garden planted but after this year’s fabulous ice storm, we are tackling more than just planting and growing. Trees are coming down this week, repairs on pipelines has required some landscaping in the front yard, fences and exterior electrical are being repaired. It’s nuts. So we’re busy! BUT THERE’S NO END TO SEASON TEN! We are planning late spring and summer pop-up menus that highlight our seasonal NW bounty in the form of soups, salads and delicious dishes that make carefree dining outside a must-do. Please look for our menu mailer in your inbox, our website (www.pepperandsaltkitchen.com) or our posts on our facebook page.
Thank you to everyone who ordered this last week. We hope you enjoyed the soups and salads. Thank you to everyone for ordering all year long! And thank you again to all that donated to Dollars for Delta this year. We received more than we expected in donations. As a result, we were able to give literally hundreds of quarts of soup to the volunteer group who delivers foods to those in need. We hope to have an update on those totals in the next couple of weeks. We are beyond grateful for the support we are given so we can give to those in need and keep this little soup gig going.
Enjoy the spring weather. We’ll be in touch in a couple of weeks!
