BEEF BONE BROTH

I’m sipping on a hot cup of ginger turmeric beef bone broth as I type this.  It’s so good, it inspired me to post again about some of the benefits. I’m not an expert in the field, but I do make good broth! Studies show that the benefits of slow cooking bones are extensive and proven to offer a gamut of benefits that contribute to gut repair, boosting immune function, arthritis, osteoporosis, digestion, reducing high cholesterol, eliminating acid reflux, detoxification, reduction of inflammation, strengthening nails and hair, improving skin appearance and so much more. And while most people report a great boost in energy that could easily replace your daily java, additional benefits lie in the glycine extracted. Glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, which means the broths can greatly help with relaxation and actually help improve sleep.

Bone broth can be a lengthy, somewhat messy broth to produce. There’s the big bones, you do have to babysit the broth, skimming off the top several times through the process and it permeates your kitchen for hours on end. If you’re doing this in your home, as most people would, the aroma does tend to linger.  It’s not an unpleasant aroma, just rich and potent. But the results are worth it.  If you’re not up for the task, we’ve done all the work for you. No time wasted on skimming.  No mess.  No lingering aromas in your home.

We have beef bone broth available this week! Traditional and our Ginger Turmeric Beef Bone Broth are on the menu ~ both local pasture-raised, grass-fed.  We’re taking orders through Sunday morning!
